The integrity of a World Cat isn't just skin deep. A World Cat's stringer and bulkhead system makes it virtually
indestructible. But prior to the stringer and bulkhead assembly, the 100% composite transom is attached to the hull,
serving as the anchor for the stringer and bulkhead system. The transom is reinforced with a high performance
fiberglass composite board ranging from 1 1/4" to 2" in thickness. It is then covered in two layers of 24-ounce
fiberglass to ensure that the transom will be able to withstand the sustained stress of today's high-horsepower
engines. Once the trasom has cured, the stringers are added to the hull and completely covered with 24-ounce glass
and allowed to cure. The stringers set the location of a minimum of five bulkheads found in all World Cat models.
Once more, 24-ounce glass is used. This time to secure the placement of the five bulkheads, this extensive composite
lay-up process ensures that your World Cat will withstand years of abuse from extreme offshore conditions. Rigging
and drain tubes are added, then all enclosed compartments are filled with closed cell foam and completely sealed
to provide positive flotation and to help dampen sound and vibration.
